Everyone loves a few butterflies in the garden. With this easy DIY butterfly feeder you’ll have loads of colourful flying friends to watch in your yard.
Required
– 3 tsp Sugar
– 100ml Water
– String
– Coloured paper (for the petals)
– Peasy coffee cup washed and dry
– Cotton wool ball
Steps
– Mix sugar and water well.
– Poke 3 evenly spaced holes around the top of the coffee cup just under the lip.
– Tie string through the holes and then together at the top so the cup sits upright.
– Poke small hole in the bottom of the cup and push a cotton wool ball into the hole, it should be tight.
– Now cut petal shapes out of your coloured paper and glue them to the bottom of the cup around the outside.
– Optional: Use coloured pens or pencils to decorate the rest of your butterfly feeder.
– Pour sugar and water mix into your cup.
– Hang your butterfly feeder somewhere outside.
– Watch and wait.
