Meet Vera – Relationship Manager 
Vera brings a wealth of experience and calm leadership to her role as Relationship Manager at Peasy. Before joining the team, she spent 17 years at Westpac, largely working in home loans. After stepping away from the workforce for 10 years to raise her children and help in her husband’s family business, Vera decided it was time for a new chapter.
She still remembers her interview at Peasy clearly; feeling nervous, but immediately put at ease by Joel and Amanda’s warmth and enthusiasm. At the time, Peasy was a young and ambitious business, and Vera is grateful for being given the opportunity to return to the workforce. “It’s not always easy to come back after time away,” she says, “so I was incredibly thankful for the chance.”
Nearly 11 years on, Vera has loved being part of Peasy’s journey, watching the business grow, celebrating key milestones, and seeing Joel and Amanda evolve alongside it. What she enjoys most is working closely with clients and supporting them through some of life’s biggest moments. “Calling a client to say their loan has settled, especially for a purchase, never gets old. Being part of that excitement is incredibly rewarding.”
Outside of work, Vera’s children are now grown, aged 20 and 23, and she still helps out in her husband’s business on weekends. She enjoys family get-togethers, cooking, and relaxing with a good movie or TV series.
